UltraSport Composite Kit Helicopter

The UltraSport series of helicopters was a technically advanced composite design kit helicopter that originated in two primary versions, the 254 single seat ultralight kit helicopter and the 496 two seater kit helicopter. Initially they were built with an “over-head’ cyclic stick control, but later updated to the standard floor mount cyclic stick. While every aspect of the UltraSport helicopter construction was immaculate – the Hirth two stroke engines were it’s “Achilles’ heel”. Now we see many of these UltraSport helicopters being fitted with small turbine engines bringing new life to an excellent little helicopter.
